Freya Sandell
Natural Light & Lifestyle Model

I model the way some people garden - seasonally, patiently, and always outdoors if the weather allows. My first published photo was taken in my grandmother's orchard, apple blossom in my hair and mud on my hem, and everything I've done since has tried to keep that feeling: real light, real weather, and clothes you can actually live in.

recent seasons
Brands book me for warmth. I work mostly with natural-light photographers on lifestyle, knitwear, and slow-fashion campaigns - the kind of images that need golden fields, a dog underfoot, or a bouquet held slightly wrong. I'm comfortable on studio seamless too, but my best frames happen where there's wind.

The Orchard Taught Me Everything
My first published photograph was taken between two apple trees by an amateur with one lens. It's still the picture I measure everything against.

A Year in Four Shoots
Lavender in June, apples in September, first snow in January, blossom in April. What a year of seasonal campaigns actually looks like.

Notes on Working With Dogs
Half my favourite photographs have a dog in them. None of those dogs were behaving. A short field guide to lifestyle shoots with animals.
