I'm Vy, a commercial and lifestyle model working out of Ho Chi Minh City. Casting directors tend to write down two things: the smile, and the fact that I turn up early with iced coffee for the crew. I shoot campaigns, catalogues, menus and lookbooks, and I treat every single one like the cover of a magazine.

Between castings, my friends and I shoot 35mm film all over Saigon. Half of this portfolio started with somebody saying 'stand there, the light is nice' outside a karaoke bar, on a beach at dusk, or on the back of a motorbike. The grain, the light leaks and the missed frames are part of the work. I like photographs that feel like a Tuesday you want to remember.

Professionally: I take direction fast, I know my angles but I do not ration them, and I can hold a laugh through eleven takes, because the eleventh is always the one they print. Book me for lifestyle, beauty, food and drink, or anything that needs genuine warmth on camera.
