About

Commercial & Lifestyle Model
Zofia Lenart
I was scouted at a tram stop on Marszałkowska, holding a zapiekanka the size of my forearm, and I like to think that set the tone for my whole career: I am at my best when something slightly ridiculous is happening. Ten years on, I've done runway, beauty counters and billboards, but the bookings that keep coming back are the ones where I get to move, laugh, and knock something over on purpose.
My range, according to art directors, is 'sunshine with opinions'. I can hold a serious beauty close-up - I have the jewellery campaigns to prove it - but hand me a tracksuit, a wall of two hundred sneakers, or an orange lamp from 1974 and you will get the frames the client actually prints. I take direction fast, I bring my own energy to slow sets, and I genuinely love the job, which photographs better than cheekbones.
Off set I collect vinyl records I have no shelf space for, defend Polish milk-bar cuisine to anyone who'll listen, and dance badly on purpose at weddings. Warsaw is home and always will be, but my suitcase stays half-packed - the good light doesn't wait, and neither do I.
